Curriculum
Are you a classroom teacher or private tutor trying to help students build a rich, practical vocabulary for tests, school, and life?
Roots2Words is an ideal resource for unlocking the English language. Obviously, our Word of the Day is a free, easy, and effective way to make sure your students are exposed to the right words on a daily basis. But you can use Roots2Words to do a lot more:
Teach your classroom or tutoring students the right ways to learn high level vocabulary. Our free lesson on How To Learn Vocabulary provides powerful strategies and resources to share in an interactive lesson:

How to build a better vocabulary
Where to find the right words (with the two most important lists for SAT & ACT)
Why word roots are so powerful and how to use them
How to create and study flashcards using the Box Method
This lesson makes the Roots2Words Word of the Day even more effective. Download the teacher's guide and student lesson for free at the Roots2Words Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Roots2Words Week Packs
Roots2Words Week Packs provide resources to deliver rich instruction in word and root mastery around a certain theme. The themes themselves facilitate learning and typically tie into other instructional content related to writing, social science, or natural science. While not every teacher focuses on standardized test prep, we still make sure that Roots2Words resources highlight the kinds of words that appear frequently on high stakes tests like the SAT & ACT. Each Week Pack consists of five root worksheets and a series of quizzes.
Our GOVERNMENT WEEK PACK focuses on vocabulary relating to types of governments and includes 5 roots encompassing over 125 relevant words. This series of lessons would be ideal in any social studies classroom.
Our SPEECH WEEK PACK focuses on vocabulary relating to speech and language and includes 5 roots encompassing over 125 relevant words. This series of lessons would be ideal in any ELA classroom.
