To alight or head ashore

disembark (verb) - to exit or deboard a ship, aircraft, or other vehicle [dis-em-bahrk]

BREAKDOWN: DIS- (apart) + EM- (on) + BARK- (boat)

• disembarkation is the act or state of leaving or unloading cargo from a vehicle (also debarkation and debarcation)

• embark means to board a vehicle or begin a course of action
